I am a travel agent under a host agency and being a travel agent with a host agency is like having your own travel business—without having to start from scratch. You get to work independently, set your own hours, and choose the kind of travel you want to specialize in (like cruises, luxury, family vacations, or budget travel), but with the support and tools of an established company behind you.
Here’s what it includes:
It's a great way to get into the travel industry without the high costs of going it alone.
The independent contractor agreement attached below contains the details directly from the host agency.
Start now with my host agency by reading the independent contractor agreement and clicking the get started button above to begin your new journey.
My host agency charges an initial setup fee of $30 and then a $30 per month hosting fee. Their commission split is 80/20 meaning agents keep 80% of their commissions.
Anyone can become a travel agent with or without experience.
A host agency provides independent travel agents with the tools, resources, support, and access to supplier relationships and booking systems to help them run their business.
Yes! For me this is why I became an agent in the first place is to help discount my own travel by earning commission on travel that I would have purchased either way.
Transparency is the best policy, and I will receive $10 a month for each agent that states Savanna Barwig as the referring agent as will you once you are an agent under the host agency for every agent that you refer as well as 10% of commission earned for agent's sales that you have referred.
Full disclaimer: I am not a tax professional, and I would strongly suggest you consult a tax professional for your specific situation but for me working as an independent agent my host fee of $30 per month is tax deductible as a business expense.
Absolutely not. This allows you to grow your business at your own pace and earn as much or as little as you care to.
Please feel free to call, text or email me. My contact information is on the home page under contact us and we would be happy to answer any additional questions you may have.
